Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-05-23

This is the privacy policy for clickcease.study ("we", "our", "the site"). It explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

1. What we collect

1.1 Server logs

Our web host stores standard request logs: IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL, response code, referrer. Logs are retained for 30 days for security and fraud prevention, then deleted. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

1.2 Analytics

We use cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics that do not set persistent identifiers and do not transmit data outside the EU/UK. No data is shared with advertising networks. If you arrive from a search engine, only the referrer host (e.g. google.com) is stored, not the full query.

1.3 Affiliate tracking

When you click an outbound link to a vendor (e.g. ClickCease, CHEQ Essentials), you are redirected through that vendor's affiliate tracking endpoint. The vendor sets its own cookies and is responsible for its own privacy notice. We do not receive your personal data from the vendor; we only see aggregated commission reports.

1.4 Email correspondence

If you write to editor@clickcease.study, we keep your email and the message for as long as the conversation requires, plus 12 months for follow-up. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) or consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) where you opt-in to follow-up.

2. Cookies

The site does not set tracking cookies. We may set a single first-party cookie to remember your cookie banner choice. See our cookie policy.

3. Third parties

  • Web host — stores server logs (see 1.1).
  • Affiliate platforms — when you click an outbound link (see 1.3).
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.

4. International transfers

Server logs may be processed in the country where our hosting provider operates. Where data transfers leave the EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) under Art. 46 GDPR.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR / UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. Under CCPA/CPRA you can request the categories of personal information collected, deletion, and opt out of "sale" (we do not sell). To exercise any right, email editor@clickcease.study. We respond within 30 days.

6. Children

The site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes

We will update this page with a new "last updated" date when material changes occur.
